Thila holds a Bachelor in Education from the University of South Australia and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Demonstrating her passion for helping children with special needs, she furthered her studies by obtaining a Specialist Diploma in Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) from the Dyslexia Association Academy.

With over 16 years of teaching experience, Thila has worked extensively with preschoolers and primary-school aged students. She is currently also helping students at MOE Primary Schools and International Schools in their specialised Learning Support Programmes. Her
expertise spans across teaching English as a second language and addressing a variety of learning needs, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD (Combined) and ADHD Inattentive.

Thila employs a variety of effective techniques to support her students’ learning and development. She integrates multisensory learning methods, structured literacy programs, and differentiated instruction to cater to each child’s unique needs. Thila also uses positive reinforcement and interactive, hands-on activities to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Additionally, Thila places significant emphasis on parent involvement, collaborating closely with parents to ensure a supportive home environment. .

Known for her energetic and animated personality, Thila makes learning sessions fun and interactive, helping children achieve their learning goals in an engaging manner. Parents have given feedback that their children look forward to and enjoy learning from Thila, highlighting her ability to make a positive impact on her students.

Thila’s extensive knowledge of various learning needs, strong communication skills, and fine-tuned classroom management abilities make her a valuable asset in the field of special needs education. Thila’s dedication and passion for her work continuously drive her to create a supportive and effective learning environment for all her students.
